PHILADELPHIA –La Salle baseball fell to the Rider Broncs 5-2 in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic on Tuesday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field.
Rider scored four runs in the 8th and final inning (due to darkness) to erase a 2-1 La Salle advantage.
Cameron Johnson had given the Explorers the lead with a two-run double in the bottom of the 7
th.

Jordan Meyer faced the minimum as the righty tossed four no-hit innings, picking off Rider's only base runner (walk) in the 3
rd. The Broncs took a 1-0 lead in the 6
th on an unearned run charged to reliever
Alex Faust.
Rider regained the league with four unearned runs against
Billy Worswick (L, 2-1) in the top of the 8
th thanks to a pair of La Salle fielding errors. Rider's Josh Sharik picked up the win with 2.2 innings on the hill.
The Explorers are scheduled to host the Coppin State Eagles tomorrow afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field at 3 p.m.
