PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior
Nick Ross capped his outstanding collegiate career by winning the IC4A Championship by running a season-best 3:46.61 in the 1500m on Sunday at Princeton University. The Explorer men finished 19th in the 47-team field with 20 points.
Ross defeated New Hampshire's Kevin Greene by .05 seconds to win the race. La Salle sophomore
Stephen Lewandowski finished fourth in the race with a collegiate-best time of 3:46.94.Â
Another sophomore,
Chris Sanders, placed fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:49.53.
On the women's side, the 4x800 relay of freshmen Ifetayo Tyler and Morgan Szekely and juniors Shannon Dwyer and Kate Conville finished fifth (8:56.68).
Several Explorers will compete in the NCAA Championship Preliminary Round beginning May 28 in Jacksonville, Fla.
