LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The La Salle men's soccer team defeated the Rider Broncs 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Ben Cohen Field. 

Colman Kennedy netted the game-winning goal in the 53rd minute, heading in a corner kick from Mike Liska for his second goal of the season. Liska tallied his second assist of the game on the play, and now leads the team with three assists on the year. 

Liska also set up La Salle's goal in the first half to help the Explorers take an early lead. The sophomore sent a cross into the box that fellow sophomore Johnny Ciarlante headed in for a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
 
The game was tied at 1-1 at the half after the Broncs netted the equalizer in the 43rd minute on a Christian Flath penalty kick.

Mike Kirk was solid in goal for the Explorers, turning away the six shots the Broncs put on goal in the game.  The La Salle back line limited Rider to just one corner kick in each half while the Explorers took five themselves.
 
The Blue & Gold look to win their third straight game on Saturday as they visit the UMBC Retrievers at 7 PM.
