PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team earned a scoreless draw with the Saint Louis Billikens on Sunday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium. La Salle recognized their six seniors prior to the game.
The Explorers backline was exceptional in notching its fourth shutout of the season, playing 110 minutes of soccer without allowing a shot on goal against La Salle keeper
Larisa Zambelli. The defense allowed just two corner kicks.
The Explorers outshot Saint Louis 11-6 on the afternoon, including four shots on target against SLU keeper Mary Niehaus. La Salle controlled corner kicks 8-2 on the afternoon.
The Explorers are home on Thursday for the final time in 2016 as they host George Mason before visiting Duquesne on Sunday for the season finale.
