ERIE - The La Salle Men's Water Polo team's inaugural season has come to an end after the Explorers were knocked out of the conference tournament on Saturday. Connecticut College defeated the Explorers, 19-9.
Alex Pitcher led the team in scoring with three goals.
Joey DeFusco,
Johann Orozco, and
Joel Gibson added two goals apiece.
Jeff Brady, the team's regular season scoring leader, assisted on two goals and drew three kickouts.
On defense,
Jacob Klingsberg had seven blocks and
Owain Llewellyn had five.
La Salle will now enter the consolation bracket with two games on Sunday. The Explorers will first play Monmouth at 9:00 AM and then Washington & Jefferson at noon.
