RICHMOND – The La Salle women's basketball team has won five straight games, beginning with a 54-51 win at Dayton in its A-10 opener on December 4. The Explorers resume league play on New Year's Day as they visit the VCU Rams on Sunday afternoon at E.J. Wade Arena.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle went 5-0 in December and has won eight of their last nine games after starting the year 0-3. The Explorers are winners of five straight for the first time since November 22-December 6, 2014.
-A-10 leading scorer
Amy Griffin went for a season-high 27 points in the win over UMKC on Wednesday. The junior is averaging 21.2 points per game this season.
-Griffin needs just 28 points to reach 1,000 for her career. The Atlanta, Ga. native will become the 25th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point plateau.

Adreana Miller leads the Atlantic 10 in free throw percentage, shooting 93.3 % (28-30) from the line this season. As a team, La Salle is second in the league in free throw percentage (75.2).
-The Explorers are also second in the A-10 in blocked shots per game (6.0). Griffin leads the team with 1.8 blocks per game while
Lisa Mintzer averages 1.4 bpg.

Deja Bullock tied her career high in rebounds with seven boards against the Kangaroos.
