NEWARK, Del. – The La Salle baseball team fell to the Fightin' Blue Hens of Delaware 22-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium. 

Delaware got the bats going early against La Salle starter Greg Paprocki (L, 0-1), who allowed 11 runs (nine earned) in two-plus innings before handing the ball over to the La Salle bullpen. The Blue Hens didn't stop after the early outburst, scoring in every inning but the 5th. 

La Salle had a pair of hits and a walk in the 1st inning but Delaware starter Zach Flowers (W, 1-0) wiggled his way out of the jam on the way to five shutout innings. The Explorers scored their lone run in the 7th inning on a Kevin McGowan groundout with the bases loaded.   

The Explorers return home on Wednesday as they host Delaware State at Hank DeVincent Field. First pitch against the Hornets is set for 3 p.m.
