PHILADELPHIA- La Salle grabbed a 15-8 win over LIU Brooklyn at McCarthy Stadium on Thursday. Junior
Allee Ilgenfritz added five goals while senior Kately Fay scored four of her own to fuel the Explorers offense in the win.

The Explorers (2-5) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back. Ilgenfritz, Fay, and sophomore
Brittany Edwards each scored one goal to help La Salle control the first five plus minutes of action.

LIU was able to tighten the gap and scored four goals to close the half to La Salle's three, thanks to a pair of Fay goals and Ilgenfritz second, as the Explorers took a 6-4 lead into the half.

A five goal run to open the second half pushed the Explorers lead to 11-4, from which they didn't look back. The stretch featured a pair of goals from Ilgenfritz and single goals from Fay, Edwards, senior
Anna Kelly.

After three goals from the Blackbirds, La Salle closed the game on a 4-1 run with goals from Ilgenfritz, Fay, junior
Courtney Woolford, and redshirt sophomore
Nicole Black.
