CLINTON, S.C. – The La Salle baseball team dropped a 6-0 decision to the Presbyterian Blue Hose in game two of the series on Saturday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex.
The Explorers couldn't get their offense going against PC starter Brian Kehner (W, 3-0), who limited La Salle to a pair of hits over seven innings. The Presbyterian bullpen then worked two scoreless innings to close out the game.
The Blue Hose scored five runs against La Salle starter
Luke Reilly (L, 0-2), tallying nine hits while walking twice. The lefty, however, did record a season-high nine strikeouts in five innings of work.
The La Salle bullpen worked three innings without allowing an earned run, including 2.1 innings from
Greg Krug. Freshman
Mike Anthony tallied the first two outs of the 6th in relief of Reilly.
The rubber match of the series is set for Sunday afternoon. First pitch.from the PC Baseball Complex is slated for 1 p.m.
