PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle men's distance medley relay team turned in a time of 9:42.58 at the Penn Relays for a 10^th place finish on Friday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Nick Smart kicked things off with a 2:59.57 to sit the Explorers in seventh place at the first hand off in the 13 team field. Sophomore Justin Guerre took the baton and ran a 47.36 split which was the fourth fastest time of the second leg.
 
Sophomore Chris Sanders ran the 800 third leg in 1:47.90 which was the second fastest split of the leg and junior Stephen Lewandowski brought the Explorers home with a 4:07.76 final leg.
 
La Salle closes out the Penn Relays with the men's and women's 4x800m relay's which begin at 4:10 p.m. tomorrow.
