PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle men topped the 25 man field in the 4x800m relay on the final day of the Penn Relays on Saturday.

The Explorers ran a 7:31.03 to top the field by 1.37 seconds in the College Men's 4x800m.

Freshman Ben De Venezia kicked things off with a 1:53.70 first leg before passing the baton to sophomore
Nick Smart. The Thorton, Pa. native ran a 1:51.28 second leg before passing off to senior
Stephen Lewandowski who ran a 1:55.79 third leg. Junior
Chris Sanders brought home the race with a blistering fourth leg of 1:50.27 the second fastest anchor leg overall to earn the Explorers the victory.

The Explorers return to action next weekend at the A-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by George Mason.
