HEAT SHEETS
Â
PHILADELPHIA - La Salle rowing will compete in the 2016 Dad Vail Regatta on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14 on the Schuylkill River. Â
Â
"The coaches are very excited about how the team has been preparing for this weekend," head coach
Tom Madden said. "Expectations are that both the Men's and Women's teams will have one of the best Dad Vail's in recent years."
Â
The Explorers will launch three boats on the men's side and one on the women's. The men's varsity eight boat will take the river first for La Salle, rowing in lane five of the race's sixth heat at 7:42 a.m. The varsity eight won the petite final at the Kerr Cup two weeks ago and will look to improve on that performance.
Â
Less than an hour later, the women will launch its varsity eight boat at 8:24 a.m. in lane 2 of the fifth heat. That boat will be comprised of
Kaitlyn Reyes (cox),
Jessica Lindsay,
Amanda Ryan,
Savannah Fader,
Danielle Deley,
Maura McKenna,
Emily Finkbinder,
Cora Jones and
Emily Fithian.
Â
The men's freshman/novice four will round out the morning's races in lane one of the third heat at 10:01 a.m.Â
Â
The men's JV eight will take the water later in the afternoon, rowing in the first lane of the fourth heat at 2:04.Â
