PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team will look for its third straight win on Friday when they host the Northeastern Huskies at McCarthy Stadium at 5 p.m.
Scouting the Explorers
-The Explorers have won back-to-back games, including a 1-0 shutout of Temple in their home opener on Sunday.
-
Marykate Bateman helped La Salle to the 2-0 week with two assists against Drexel and the game-winning goal against Temple. Bateman leads the team with four points, and is tied with
Kristin Haugstad for the team-lead in assists.
-
Deja Davis is also off to a strong start for the Explorers, tallying the game-winning goal in the 89
th minute against Drexel after recording an assist against NC State (Aug. 19).
-A different Explorer has scored all five of La Salle's goals this season.
Maci Bower,
Katherine Hennessey and
Emily Wilkinson have also found the back of the net for the Blue and Gold.

Scouting the Huskies
-Northeastern dropped a 2-0 decision at No. 16 Texas Tech on Sunday evening. Sophomore goalkeeper Nathalie Nidetch made eight saves and kept the Red Raiders (3-0-1) offense off the board until the 61
st minute.
-Nidetch entered the week ranked third in the NCAA in total saves with 34. The sophomore has stopped at least seven shots in all four matches this season, including a career-high 10 saves in the opener against No. 15 UConn.
-Hannah Rosenblatt scored the third-latest goal in Northeastern women's soccer history on Aug. 25 in a 2-1, double-overtime win over Providence. The sophomore fired home the game-winner with 7.7 seconds showing on the clock, placing the goal at 109:52.
-The Huskies will remain in Philadelphia for the weekend to visit Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
