SALEM, W.Va. – The Men's Water Polo team (1-2) returns to action this weekend to play in the MWPC Weekend at Salem International University in Salem, West Virginia. The Explorers will play four games over the course of two days, beginning on Saturday with Monmouth College at 10:00 AM and Washington and Jefferson at 3:20 PM, and ending on Sunday against Salem International at 9:00 AM (live video available) and Mercyhurst at 1 PM.

Alex Pitcher has found the back of the net three times

Owain Llewellyn has made 21 saves to lead the team.

Scouting the Monmouth College Scots (0-0)
-The Scots, who will be making their season debut this weekend, finished the 2015 season with three wins including one at MWPC Weekend
-Monmouth returns its leading scorer, Raheem Brown, who netted 56 goals last year
Scouting the Washington and Jefferson Presidents (1-6)
-The Presidents have one win in seven contests this season. Coincidentally, the victory came against Salem International University at the Mercyhurst Invitational earlier this month

-The Tigers lone win this season came against CalTech – a familiar opponent to the Explorers. La Salle defeated CalTech earlier this year as well
-Freshman Milos Popovic has been a standout for the Tigers this season, netting 21 goals on the year
Scouting the Mercyhurst Lakers (3-3)
-The Lakers started their season with a three-game win streak. Last season, they won a stretch of seven consecutive games
