PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's basketball team had four scorers in double figures in a 70-51 win over Rhode Island on Monday night at Tom Gola Arena.

Amy Griffin paced the Explorers with 15 points while
Micahya Owens added 14, including 11 in the opening half as La Salle got out to a strong start.
Ashanti Freeland chipped in a season-high 12 points while
Lisa Mintzer had a career-high 10 points.

Jasmine Alston fueled the attack with a season-high 13 assists and pulled down seven rebounds.Â

The Explorers raced out to an 11-0 lead and kept the Rams off the board for the first 6:10 of the game. La Salle kept the lead for the duration and were ahead by as many as 22 at several points in the 3
rd quarter.
Charise Wilson paced the Rams with a game-high 23 points, although the Rams had only one other scorer in double figures as Dina Motrechuk netted 13.

The Explorers play their final nonconference on Wednesday as they host the Harvard Crimson at Tom Gola Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
