La Salle Looks to Remain Unbeaten in Final Week of A-10 Play, Hosts VCU for Senior Day on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team looks to go a perfect 10-0 in A-10 play as they visit George Mason on Thursday before hosting VCU on Sunday for Senior Day.   
 
 Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle has won their last eight games to start 8-0 in league play, and will secure the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship with their next win.
 
-The Explorers have outscored league opponents 27-4 during their eight-game winning streak.
 
- Kristin Haugstad converted a penalty kick in the 86th minute to defeat Fordham 1-0 on Sunday. The senior now has eight goals, which puts her in a three-way tie with Madison and Maci Bower for the team lead in goals. The trio are tied for second in the A-10 in goals scored.
 
-La Salle has scored 38 goals on the season, which is second in the A-10 and 25th in the NCAA.
 
-The Explorers lead the A-10 with 41 assists, which is tied for 8th in the NCAA this season.

Scouting the Patriots

-George Mason has won three in a row entering Thursday's contest, and Sunday's 1-0 win over Davidson clinched Mason's spot in the A-10 Tournament for the third straight season.
 
-The Patriots have won six straight games at home, including the 3-1 win vs UMass last week. The Patriots are 7-2-1 over their last 10 games, with 23 goals scored and 13 allowed.
 
-Mason goalkeeper Louisa Moser was named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after making eight saves over two wins last week.  
 
- Emily Littell leads the Patriots in points with 12 (3 goals, 6 assists) while Rebecca Callison has a team-high four goals and two assists.

Scouting the Rams

-VCU won both of their games last week, defeating crosstown rival Richmond 1-0 on the road Thursday before handing St. Bonaventure a 4-1 loss at home Sunday.
 
-VCU has a 0.73 goals-against average this season after allowing just 11 goals in 15 games, which is third in the A-10. The Rams have tallied seven shutouts this season, which stands fourth in the league.
 
-Julia Suarez leads the Rams with 11 points this season thanks to four goals and three assists. Amanda Tredway also has four goals for the Rams while all three of Alyssa Tallent's goals have been game-winners.
