PHILADELPHIA- Fresh off a 4-1 win over Siena, the La Salle field hockey team will play a pair of game this weekend. The Explorers will travel to Lawrenceville, N.J. to compete against Rider on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 4:00 PM before heading back to Hank DeVincent Field to face A-10 rival Saint Francis at 2:00 PM on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Sunday's game will open with a brief ceremony to honor the six seniors in the class of 2018.
Scouting the Explorers…
- The team is off to a 6-4 start this year and has opened A-10 play with wins over Davidson and Saint Louis to split league record 2-2.

Mackenzie Karcher leads the team in scoring with five goals this season. The junior netted three of La Salle's four goals against Siena.
Rialee Allen and
Chloe Lucky have each put in a pair of goals across the first 10 games.

Eileen Dzwill has recorded three assists to lead the Blue and Gold this season, while seven other Explorers have added one assist each.
- Senior
Summer Pierson has tallied three defensive saves for La Salle. Pierson ranks second in the A-10 with .38 per game, while
Emma Provost has recorded 63 total saves across her 10 starts in the net.
- Sunday's senior day ceremony will mark a strong class of six athletes for their contributions to the program.

Scouting the Broncs…
- Rider is split 5-5 on the season, most recently posting a 2-0 shutout against Colgate. The team also posted a 4-0 victory over Towson, who La Salle will face later this month.
- The Broncs walked away with a victory against the Explorers a season ago, when the team netted three consecutive goals to overcome La Salle 3-2.
- Allison Baligian leads the Broncs with five goals scored this season, including two game-winners. She has added two assists across 10 starts this year. Eline De Jong follows with four goals this season.
- Leading the team in assists is Shannon Hughes, who has assisted on five goals this season. Hughes has added one goal of her own.

- The Red Flash has yet to drop an Atlantic 10 contest this year, after narrowly escaping Davidson in a 2-1 overtime brawl.Â
- A duo of Brea Seabrooks and Brianna Govia lead the Red Flash in points this year. Seabrooks ranks sixth in the Atlantic 10 in goals with six goals on the season, while adding five assists. A-10 Co-Player of the Week Brianna Govia is tied for sixth as well with six goals and six assists.
- Reigning A-10 Goalkeeper of the Year Elizabeth Dyer has contributed 53 saves this season to average a .793 percentage. She has recorded just two shutouts this season.
- Alison Amen has made two defensive saves this season to lead the team in her 10 game appearances.
