Women’s Soccer Partners with Athletes Helping Athletes, Hosts Davidson Thursday

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team aims to keep their four-game winning streak alive as they host the Davidson Wildcats Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium. The Explorers will also host Athletes Helping Athletes, which is an organization that connects local special needs athletes with student-athletes in a spirit of friendship for their mutual benefit and inspiration.
 
Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle is atop the Atlantic 10 standings after a 4-0 start in league play. The Explorers beat Dayton 4-0 at home on Thursday before a 2-0 win at Rhode Island on Sunday.
 
-The Explorers are outscoring Atlantic 10 opponents 12-2 through four league games this season. La Salle hasn't allowed a goal against a league opponent outside of a 3-2 overtime win at Saint Joseph's on September 24.
 
-Freshman Amirah Louketis was named A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring a goal and adding an assist last week against the Flyers. The forward has two goals and three assists on the season.
 
-The four goals against Dayton were a season-high in goals scored for the Explorers. They've found the net three times in four additional games this season.  
 
-Last Thursday's defeat of Dayton marked the 150th career win for head coach Paul Royal, who has been the program's all-time winningest coach since 2008.

Scouting the Wildcats

-Davidson is still in search of their first Atlantic 10 win this season after coming up short against Saint Louis at home last Thursday and on the road at Dayton on Sunday.
 
-The Wildcats are winless in their last five games dating back to a 2-0 win over Winthrop on September 14.
 
-Sophomore Allison Gray has a team-leading four goals and nine points, along with a team-high 22 shots. Sophomore Cameron France is second on the club with two goals and an assist for five points.
 
-The Wildcats are 0-6 on the road this season, and lost 1-0 to the Explorers in their only trip to McCarthy Stadium (2015).
