Lacrosse Unveils 2018 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle lacrosse team announced its action-packed schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign, which will feature eight games at 20th and Olney's McCarthy Stadium. Head coach Candace Taglianetti-Bossell will welcome 18 new freshman for the spring campaign to join 11 returning starters.

La Salle will open their season early in February, with a Friday matchup against Fresno State at McCarthy Stadium on Feb. 9. After a short road trip to Delaware to face the Hens the following week, La Salle will play trio of home games.
The Explorers will host Central Michigan first on Sunday, Feb 25 to close out the month before a meeting with Marist the following Saturday for senior day. The team will round out its home stand when they welcome Vanderbilt on Thursday, Mar. 8 at 6:00 p.m.

The team will play four games away to continue their competitive March, starting with a cross-town matchup at Temple on Monday, March 13 at 4:00 p.m. La Salle will then travel up to New York for a pair of games against Manhattan and LIU Brooklyn. The Explorers will head south on Thursday, March 29 to open Atlantic 10 play at Davidson at 6:30 p.m.

After a quick A-10 game against George Mason at McCarthy Stadium, the Explorers will face the GW and UMass back-to-back at their respective stadiums from April 6-8. La Salle welcomes Duquesne to begin   two-game home stand on Friday, April 13. The team will then welcome St. Bonaventure on Sunday, March 15 at 11:30 a.m.

Taglianetti- Bossell's squad will then take a weekend road trip to Richmond, Va., where the team will face VCU on Friday, April 20 before taking on Richmond on the 22nd in their final away game. La Salle returns to McCarthy for one final regular season game with Big 5 and conference rival St. Joseph's at 11:30 a.m.

The Atlantic 10 Championships will be held in first weekend in May, beginning on the third and culminating the sixth to conclude the 2018 season.
