PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle Explorers were off to a hot 3-1 start against their rivals from down Broad Street, but the Temple Owls stormed back with two back-to-back four goal spurts to win the game 13-10 at McCarthy Stadium on Thursday, March 2.
Allee Ilgenfritz was the first Explorer to score for the second consecutive game to get La Salle on the board just :15 into play.

When Temple's Krissy Gallivan answered with a goal for the Owls at 27:10, La Salle raced back, netting three consecutive goals.
Toni Massetti sent a shot past Temple goalie Maryn Lowell, followed by two from
Brittany Edwards to give La Salle a 3-1 advantage.Â
It was not enough as Temple recovered to lead 9-6 at the close of the first half. The Explorers were unable to crawl back, despite three more goals from Ilgenfritz in the second half.
Rachel Ceplo and
Nicole Black also added a goal apiece for the Explorers effort.
Anna Gordon picked up a career-high six ground balls on the day, while winning four draw controls.
Senior
Kiara Lynch led La Salle with two caused turnovers, while also picking up a ground ball. Ceplo picked up three ground balls in addition to her goal and won two draws.
In goal,
Lynne Frankel picked up four ground balls to rank second on the team on the day, while adding 15 saves against the Owls.
La Salle will travel over the semester break, facing Stetson on Monday, March 6 at 6:00 PM in DeLand, Fl. before facing Campbell on Friday, March 10 to conclude the trip.
