Explorers Blanked by VCU

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle baseball team was blanked by VCU on Saturday, falling 7-0 in the contest.

Six Explorers recorded base hits in the game, totaling seven for the team. Kevin McGowan, who had an RBI on Friday, was 2-for-3 with a walk. Four others batters had one hit each.

Mike Anthony, who drew the start, struck out four batters over five innings. Jared Materra allowed just one earned run in four innings of relief.
