Men's Track and Field | March 4, 2017
BOSTON- The La Salle track and field teams traveled to the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships at Boston University on Saturday, March 4 to continue the indoor season.
Chris Sanders brought in the team's top performance on the day, running a 1:51.53 in the 800m preliminary race to earn an eighth place seed in the finals. The 800m finals are slated for Sunday, March 5 at 1:05 PM.
Justin Guerre represented La Salle in the 200m preliminary event, clocking a 21:95 time to place 15
th in the field of 36 runners.
A distance medley team of
Brendan Robertson,
Isaiah Akil,
Anthony Hawthorne and
Andrew Gorsuch placed 17
th overall in the preliminary race when they clocked a time of 10:03.15.
A duo of
Stephen Lewandowski and
Bradley Heuer competed in the one mile event to wrap up the day for the men's team. Lewandowski led the pair with a 14
th place finish in a time of 4:10.95, while
Bradley Heuer crossed the line in 4:12.46 in the preliminary.
For the women's team,
Ifetayo Tyler competed in the 800m preliminary event, clocking a 2:14.11 time to finish 21
st in the pack.
Mone't Gist rounded out the competition in the 60m hurdles event, placing 23
rd overall with a time of 8.90 in the preliminary round.
The Explorers will return to the track on Sunday, March 5 for the final day of the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships with racing resuming at 9:30 AM.
