Explorers Hit Two Home Runs but Fall to St. Bonaventure, 8-4

PHILADELPHIA - Brian Tagoe and Rafael Amanau each hit home runs in the fifth inning but the La Salle Baseball team ultimately lost to St. Bonaventure in an Atlantic 10 game at Hank DeVincent Field, 8-4.

Tagoe's home run was his first of the season and third of his career. It was Amanau's second of the season and was also a two-run shot that scored Zach Wright.

Both batters were 2-for-4 on the day. Amanau drove Wright in again two innings later for the team's fourth run and the third baseman's third RBI of the day.

The Explorers threatened in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded, but were unable to convert a run.

La Salle plays St. Bonaventure again tomorrow at 1:00 PM in Philadelphia
