PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle baseball team couldn't get its offense rolling against St. Bonaventure in a 3-0 loss to the Bonnies on Sunday afternoon at Hank DeVincent Field.

Luke Reilly (L, 1-5) gave up a run in the top of the 1
st on an Aaron Phillips RBI single but settled down to keep the Bonnies scoreless over the next five innings. SBU added two runs in the 7
th inning after back-to-back doubles from Cole Peterson and Phillips.
Blake James was called upon to get the final two outs of the 7
th and held SBU scoreless in the 8
th and 9
th to keep La Salle within striking distance.
La Salle outhit the Bonnies 5-4 on the afternoon but SBU starter Brandon Schlimm (W, 1-3) was able to work out of trouble to toss six shutout innings, striking out six while scattering five hits and a walk. Relievers Danny Urban and Donovan Moffat combined for 2.1 scoreless innings before Roman Wild (S, 2) got the final two outs.
The Explorers complete a seven-game home stand on Tuesday as they host Lafayette at Hank DeVincent Field at 3 p.m.
