UPDATE: Matching Challenge & Prizes Courtesy of Philadelphia Runner
We are pleased to announce that, due to the generosity of a few dedicated and loyal alumni, all costs related to La Salle University Track and Field/Cross Country held on the 21st floor of the Cira Center have been covered by charitable contributions.
This generosity allows for all proceeds from the night's events to go directly to funds that support immediate unique travel needs for the team and to the Charles F. Torpey Endowed Fund for Championship Cross Country and Track and Field.
Additionally, these alumni have joined forces with four of their colleagues to place a matching challenge to those in attendance and those who cannot make the event. These generous alums will match up to $6,000 in donations received prior, during and after the event.
Those unable to attend but wishing to make a gift can do so by visiting
www.lasalle.edu/explorerfund – and then choosing men's or women's track and field and writing "Penn Relays Challenge" in the remarks column.
We are also delighted to announce that our good friends at
Philadelphia Runner will give away a prize package including a hat, water bottle, a pint glass and a pair of running shoes to one lucky raffle winner.
The first 50 guests in attendance will also receive the new Varsity L car magnet.
The event is filling up fast so please register today. Please remember that due to both the NFL Draft and the Penn Relays both taking place in close proximity to the event we highly encourage use of public transportation.
