PHILADELPHIA -
Ryan Guckin and
Connor Hinchliffe each sent balls over the fence and
Luke Reilly threw a complete game in a 5-1 win at St. Joseph's on Sunday.
Reilly (2-5) picked up the win and allowed just one earned run and struck out seven in nine innings of work.
"Luke pitched a typical
Luke Reilly game," said Head Coach
Mike Lake. "He pounded the zone with three pitches while changing speeds well. We had awesome pitching all weekend but overall it was a great team series win."
Hinchliffe's home run was his second of the series. Guckin, a freshman, connected on his first.
Both home runs were two-run shots that also scored
Rafael Amanau. The right fielder finished 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. He drove in
Kevin McGowan in the eighth inning.
McGowan also had three its, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a double.
The Explorers will now return home for their last homestand of the season beginning this Friday when they host George Washington at 3:00. Senior Day festivities are scheduled to be apart of this series before Sunday's game.
