PHILADELPHIA - La Salle junior
Josh Brooks earned a spot on the
Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team for men's rowing, it was announced on Thursday. The honor is second straight for Brooks, who was also named to the Academic All-Area team as a sophomore in 2016.
A member of varsity four and varsity eight boats throughout the season, Brooks helped the Explorers to wins over Iona in both boats on April 8. He was also a key member of both boats that earned victories over Washington College and St. Mary's (Md.) the week before.
Academically, Brooks has accumulated a 3.50 GPA as a marketing major through his first three years at La Salle.
Brooks joins eight other area rowers on the Academic All-Area team, including Performer of the Year Joseph Masgai from Drexel.
