PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off a win at crosstown rival Temple on Sunday, the La Salle women's soccer hosts the Iona Gaels on Thursday night at McCarthy before visiting another city rival in Penn on Sunday evening.
Scouting the Explorers
-Senior
Kristin Haugstad was named Atlantic 10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. The Nesodden, Norway native scored twice in La Salle's opening week, including the game-winner with 7:03 left in regulation at Temple.
-Redshirt junior
Madison Bower leads the team in points after scoring twice and adding an assist last week. Bower assisted Haugstad's game-winner at Temple and scored an insurance goal with 21 seconds after putting La Salle on the board in the 32
nd minute against St. John's on Friday.

Paul Royal was recently rated the top coach in the Atlantic 10 and the 32nd best coach in the NCAA by CoachRank.

Danielle Marx added a goal and an assist last week after finishing second on the team with 13 points last season.

Larisa Zambelli tallied her seventh career shutout with the 2-0 win over Temple, putting the senior in sole possession of 7
th place on the all-time list.

Scouting the Gaels
-Iona has started the season with road losses to Army (0-1) and Stony Brook (0-3).

Scouting the Quakers
-Penn opens the season on Friday night against the Lehigh Mountainhawks before hosting the Explorers Sunday evening.
