PHILADELPHIA- After a packed opening weekend at the Bucknell Invitational, the La Salle volleyball team will welcome Lafayette for the first home game of the season. The Explorers will host the Leopards at Tom Gola Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Scouting the Explorers…
- La Salle opened the 2017 season with a 2-1 start, posting wins over Iona and NJIT. They will look to keep the momentum going at the home opener in head coach
Caitlin Schweihofer's fourth season at the helm.

Devin Corah led the Explorers in attack over the weekend, posting 47 kills and five aces in the three-game stint. Rookie
Samantha Graver made a stellar collegiate debut, tallying 15 kills in the 3-0 sweep over NJIT.
- Corah added eight total blocks over the weekend, while junior
Maya Barton stepped up with six to defend the court.
- At setter, sophomore Katie Wood helped La Salle with a pair of 33 assists performances against Iona and NJIT. She averaged 8.75 assists per set through the weekend.

Jensen Sharrits averaged 4.04 digs per set through the first three games to total 54 on the season. The Concord Township, Ohio native also added 17 assists to help La Salle offensively.
Scouting the Leopards…
- The Explorers captured the last meeting of the two teams in 2016 in a 3-0 outcome. The Leopards will look to avenge the loss in head coach Terri Dadio Campbell's 16
th season at the helm.
- The Leopards opened their season with a 3-0 sweep over Saint Peter's on Friday, August 25.
- Against the Peacocks, senior Tori Smith posted a team-high 13 kills to go with nine digs.
- Libero Lexie Caraveo totaled 19 digs in the match, while teammate Jenna Bailey put up 30 assists.
The Explorers will travel next to Akron, Ohio, where they will play in a three-day invitational at the University of Akron. They will face Tennessee Tech to open their weekend on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
