Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Drexel scored the deciding goal in the 75
th minute to earn a 1-0 victory over La Salle on Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium to halt the Explorers' win streak at three games.
Wilhelmina Hauch-Fausbøll scored the game's only goal and her first of the season 74:39 into the action thanks to an assist from Madison Dunn.
Both sides had numerous chances to score throughout the match, with Drexel recording 17 shots and La Salle taking 15. Both teams had eight shots on goal, with three coming from
Maci Bower and two more from
Madison Bower for the home team.
La Salle keeper
Larisa Zambelli tallied six saves while Drexel goalie Christiana Ogunsami recorded a season-high eight saves on the night. The Explorers held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.
La Salle is back in action on Sunday afternoon as they visit the Knights of Farleigh Dickinson at 1 p.m.
