PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team will travel to Colgate this weekend for three matches at the Colgate Invitational beginning on Friday, Sept. 15.
The Explorers will meet Stony Brook to open to weekend before facing Cornell. They will then play Colgate in the final match of the weekend.


Scouting the Explorers…

- La Salle earned a 2-2 weekend at the Valley Forge Invitational, posting victories over Siena and Penn in an exciting five sets for the first time since 1999.
- Two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week Samantha Graver tallied 69 total kills on the weekend and added 79 digs. The freshman ranks third overall in the Atlantic 10 with 3.48 per set while her 160 total leads the conference.
- Libero Jensen Sharrits sits at second in Atlantic 10 statistics with an average of 5.00 per set.
- Alyssa Cianciulli leads the NCAA Division 1 in total aces on the season. The freshman has recorded 29 this season and averages .63 per set (8^th in Division 1 statistics).

Scouting the Seawolves…

- The Seawolves have posted a 5-6 season, including a 3-1 loss to Robert Morris, who La Salle met last weekend. The team is coming off of a 2-1 weekend at the Hampton Inn-vitational, where they topped Brown and Manhattan.
- Emily Costello leads the team with 119 digs on the season to average 2.90 per set. She has also contributed 15 service aces over the first 11 games to lead the team.
- Defensively, McKyla Brooks has totaled 30 blocks. She has tallied three solo blocks on the season while Costello has recorded five.
- Kiani Kerstetter has recorded 167 digs this season to average 4.07 per set while contributing 36 assists.

- Cornell has split the first six games 3-3 under head coach Trudy Vande Berg, who is in her third year at the helm.
- Emily Wemhoff leads the team with 75 kills on the season to average 3.57 per set. She has added six total blocks to contribute to Cornell's defensive effort.
- Jada Stackhouse leads Cornell with 22 total blocks to average 1.05 per set. She has added 28 kills across 21 set appearances.
- Kiley McPeek has recorded 119 digs to lead the team. She averages 5.67 digs per set across the first six games.

Scouting the Raiders…

- Alli Lowe leads the team with 108 kills across the first nine matches of the 2017 season. Katie Stansbury follows just behind to rank second on the team with 104 in 31 set appearances.
- Lauren Sanderson averages 11.35 assists per set and has contributed 12 aces to lead the team in her nine match appearances.
- Jaleah Hutchinson has contributed eight solo blocks for the Raiders and leads the team in total blocks with 26 on the season.
- Peighton McRobie has contributed 138 digs for Colagte to average 4.45 per set.
