Men's Water Polo | September 15, 2017
LEWISBURG, Pa. - The La Salle men's water polo team will face four teams in two days over the weekend at the Bucknell Invitational. Highlighting the opponents are the host Bisons who are ranked No. 16 in the country. The Bison are just one of a handful of nationally ranked opponents on the Explorers' schedule this season. In addition to Bucknell, La Salle will preview a few Metro Atlantic Water Polo conference opponents when it opposes Salem International and Gannon. Because this is a tournament, the games will be counted as regulation but non-conference. The Explorers will also rematch Johns Hopkins, who they faced earlier this season.
Jeff Brady was recently named Explorer of the Week after a successful first weekend of the season for the water polo team. Brady, a sophomore, leads the team in scoring with six goals. He also led the team in scoring last season.
Action gets underway on Saturday when the men face Bucknell at 11:45 AM. Later in the day, they face Salem International at 7:45 PM. The tournament wraps up on Sunday with Johns Hopkins at 8:00 AM and Gannon at 3:30 PM.
Following the Bucknell Invitational, the team will return home for a home game against Villanova on Monday at 6:45 PM. Following that game, the men will host Greater Philadelphia Water Polo in exhibition.
