Box Score NEWARK, Del. - The La Salle women's soccer (5-2-1) team battled but ultimately fell to the Delaware Blue Hens on Friday night in overtime, 1-0.
La Salle recorded six shots including two on goal. Kirstin Haugstad and
Jenna Soriano each had a shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Larissa Zambelli and the Explorer defense held the Blue Hens scoreless for over 92 minutes. Zambelli had three saves against nine Delaware shots. The Blue Hens finally slipped one by in the 93rd minute. On defense,
Taylor Newhart and
Paige McDowell played every minute of the match.Â
