Box Score PRINCETON, N.J. – The La Salle women's soccer team (5-3-1) fell short in a 1-0 decision against No. 6 West Virginia (7-2) on Sunday afternoon in a neutral site matchup at Princeton's Roberts Stadium.

West Virginia scored in the 20^th minute on a penalty kick goal by Micheala Abam. WVU took 28 shots on the afternoon, putting five on goal against La Salle keeper Larisa Zambelli.

The Explorers couldn't get anything going offensively, firing only two shots on the afternoon. La Salle was unable to secure a corner kick while the Mountaineers took three on the afternoon.

The Explorers begin Atlantic 10 play this week as they host the Dukes of Duquesne on Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium. The Explorers will then travel to crosstown rival Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
