PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team begins Atlantic 10 play this week as they host the Duquesne Dukes on Thursday night before a visit to Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle is coming off a pair of losses over the weekend, falling 1-0 in overtime at Delaware on Friday before a 1-0 loss to No. 6 West Virginia on Sunday.
-The Explorers are 3-1 against the Philadelphia Soccer Six this season, most recently defeating Villanova 1-0 on September 10.
-
Maci Bower and
Kristin Haugstad are tied for the team lead with three goals. All three of Bower's goals this season have been game-winners, which leads the A-10 and ties her for 10th in the NCAA in game-winning goals.
-La Salle is second in the A-10 with five shutouts this year and has a 0.65 goals-against average, which ranks 38th in the NCAA.

Scouting the Dukes
-Duquesne is undefeated over their previous five games, and went 1-1 last week with a win at Akron on Friday before a 1-1 draw at Youngstown State on Sunday.
-Katie O'Connor scored the game-winner in the 60
th minute at Akron and Lauren Bell tallied Duquesne's only goal in the tie at YSU.
-The Dukes had a season-high 19 shots, including 12 shots on goal, in Sunday's match at Youngstown.
-Duquesne has allowed just seven goals in eight games this season on the way to a 0.88 goals-against average, which is fourth in the A-10.

Scouting the Hawks
-Saint Joseph's went 1-1 last week, falling 3-0 at Providence on Thursday before a 3-2 win in overtime against Columbia on Sunday.
-SJU was ranked 14th in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll for the second straight week, it was announced Tuesday.
-The Hawks are tied for second in the Atlantic 10 in goals with 15 through eight games. Hannah Racis and Gabrielle Vagnozzi each have scored four goals this season.
-Freshman Morgan Bower, who is the younger sister of La Salle's Madison and
Maci Bower, has two goals and two assists.
