In the morning game of the double header,
Jeff Brady scored three goals to lead La Salle's offense. Brady was the team's leading scorer from a year ago. Other goal-scorers included
Patrick Dougherty and Trevon Zweifel. Dougherty also found the back of the net on Saturday and is proving to be one of the Explorers' top scoring threats early on this season.
Cole Strohson recorded three steals as a standout on defense. In goal,
Cameron Schiable had ten saves.
Johns Hopkins 16, La Salle 5
Scoring was spread out as five different Explorers lit the lamp. Brady and Dougherty each scored again.
Jacob Camacho and
Karl Miller also scored for the Blue and Gold. On defense, Lyne had three steals and Schiable made 11 saves.
Head coach
Paul Macht and his team have nearly a two week break before hitting the pool again. The Explorers will next see action in the Bucknell Invite on September 16 when they are set to face No. 14 Bucknell as well as Salem International, Gannon, and a rematch with Johns Hopkins in a two-day span.
