PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle field hockey team will take on Ball State on Friday, Sept. 8 for the team's third game of the season. The Explorers will welcome the Cardinals at Hank DeVincent at 1:00 PM.

Scouting the Explorers…
- The Explorers will look to build momentum after a win over Lehigh last weekend to capture the team's third win of the season.
- Against the Mountainhawks,
Lauren Lechleitner netted the only goal of the game after accepting a pass from
Megan Kida during a penalty play.

Rialee Allen have also netted goals this season to contribute to the Explorers winning record.
- Senior
Katie O'Grady has made two defensive saves this season to lead the team. In goal, sophomore
Emma Provost has made 17 saves.
Scouting the Cardinals…
- The Cardinals are 2-2 this season after most recently suffering a 2-1 overtime loss to UMass Lowell. The Cardinals topped La Salle's A-10 rival Saint Louis to open the season in a 5-0 matchup.
- The Cardinals fell to the Explorers a season ago in a 3-1 contest and will look to avenge the loss on Friday.
- Freshman Sierra Jefferson has scored three goals for the Cardinals, while redshirt sophomore Michelle Shampton and senior Carley Shannon have contributed two goals each on the season.
- In goal, freshman Grace Chavez has made 15 saves on the season and tallied one shutout for the Cardinals.
