DAYTON, Ohio – La Salle University women's soccer (8-5-1, 3-4 A-10) fell on the road in overtime Thursday night to Dayton (7-6-1, 3-3-1 A-10), 3-1. Redshirt-senior
Madison Bower scored the Explorers lone goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both defenses won the first half as neither allowed a score.
- Three minutes into the second half, Bower converted on a penalty kick to give La Salle the advantage.
- The Flyers set up a corner kick, that deflected off of a La Salle defender that found the back of the net to tie things up at one.
- In overtime, Dayton snuck one past sophomore keeper Claudia Jenkins to claim the victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- In goal, Jenkins made eight saves and allowed two goals.
- Bower regains the team lead in points with 21.
