PHILADELPHIA - La Salle men's water polo closes out its home schedule this Friday, Oct. 26, as it hosts Johns Hopkins at Kirk Pool. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Two days later, the Explorers will hit the road and travel to New York to face both Fordham and Wagner.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle has had nearly two weeks off from game competition after falling to Fordham in a home match, 18-9, on Oct. 13.
- Joey DeFusco had three goals in the loss for the Explorers, while Cole Strohson netted a pair.
- On the season, sophomore Daniel Domotor leads the team with 34 goals while Strohson is second with 32.
- Strohson also paces the Explorers in blocks (16), steals (45) and exclusions drawn (43).
SCOUTING JOHNS HOPKINS
- The Blue Jays are 6-10 overall and 1-3 in league play, and most recently split a pair of games against Penn State Behrend and MIT two weeks ago.
- Johns Hopkins earned a 24-15 win over the Explorers in the previous meeting between the two schools that took place in Baltimore, Md.
- Finn Banks has 32 goals and 20 assists for JHU, while Giorgio Cico has dished out a team-high 30 assists.
SCOUTING FORDHAM
- The Rams stand at 10-12 on the year and are 2-4 in conference.
- Fordham's win over La Salle on Oct. 13 kickstarted a four-match winning streak that included a 14-10 win over No. 20 Wagner.
- A trio of players had three goals apiece in the Rams' 14-8 win over Connecticut College on Oct. 20.
SCOUTING WAGNER
- After splitting four games at a tournament in California last weekend, the Seahawks sit at 12-12 on the year and are 5-2 in conference play.
- Wagner's two wins came against Air Force and Fresno Pacific University, while one of the two losses was to No. 15 Cal Baptist.
- Jasmin Kolasinac had two goals in the win over Fresno Pacific.
