LEWISBURG, Pa. - Two games are on the docket for the La Salle University men's water polo team this weekend, beginning on Saturday afternoon with a road matchup with Bucknell. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. The following day, the Explorers will host Wagner at Kirk Pool, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle dropped three games last weekend, all of which came on the road. The Explorers fought valiantly in a 24-15 loss to Johns Hopkins, and also fell to George Washington and Navy.
- Sophomore Daniel Domotor had three goals against George Washington and found the back of the net five times against JHU.
- Classmate Ash Lyne also had three tallies for the Explorers against Johns Hopkins.
- La Salle has seen Bucknell and Wagner before this season, both at the Bucknell Invitational in mid-September.
- The Bison defeated the Explorers, 23-9, and the Seahawks came away with an 18-5 victory at the event.
SCOUTING #20 BUCKNELL
- The nationally-ranked Bison enter with a 10-2 record and a 4-1 mark in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference play.
- Bucknell's lone conference loss came last weekend at the hands of George Washington.
- The Bison are undefeated in the last 19 matches contested at Kinney Natatorium.
SCOUTING WAGNER
- The Seahawks are 6-5 overall and a perfect 3-0 in MAWPC competition.
- Cameron Woldt and Oscar Nomura each earned weekly honors from the league for their recent performances.
- Woldt was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Seahawks to a win over GW last weekend, while Nomura, a driver, was named Offensive Player of the Week.
