Men's Water Polo Drops MAWPC Tournament Opener to Top-Seeded Bucknell

BRONX, N.Y. - The La Salle University men's water polo team suffered a 21-6 loss to top-seeded Bucknell on the opening day of the MAWPC Championships at Fordham on Friday. The Explorers will face Navy in the consolation round Saturday, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

INSIDE THE GAME

Freshman Josh Delillo scored agoal and added an assist and steal for La Salle.
Classmate Tyler Williams also scored a goal before leaving the game due to injury.
Sophomore Cole Strohson and junior Karl Miller each chipped in two goals, with Strohson also collected a pair of steals and a block.
After the Bison scored the first goal of the match, La Salle responded less than three minutes in with a goal of its own to knot the game at 1-1.
Bucknell was able to gain traction from there, going on a 11-0 run to take control.
