PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University head men's rowing coach
Tom Madden has announced that Brian Reifsnyder has joined his staff as an assistant coach. Reifsnyder joins the Explorers after a four-year rowing career at Temple and a stint as an assistant coach at Holy Ghost Prepatory School in Bensalem, Pa.
"I'm excited to be adding Brian to our talented staff," Madden said. "He has a great pedigree of high school and college rowing on the Schuylkill and his coaching experience with an up-and-coming scholastic program has set him up for moving to the next level."
A four-year member of the varsity men's rowing program at Temple, Reifsnyder helped the Owls varisty eight to an appearance at the IRA National Championships in 2016. Earlier in the year, Reifsnyder rowed from the third seat as the group won the Ash Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic in California.
After his career on the water, Reifsnyder interned with the Reading Phillies and at Father Judge High School, where he served as assistant athletic director. His resume also includes a two-year stint as assistant coach at Holy Ghost, where he helped coordinate and supervise practices.
La Salle men's and women's rowing will begin their season in the fall. A full schedule will be available in the coming weeks on
