PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University women's soccer team (3-0-0) is set to take on city foe, Drexel (0-1-2) in Monday, Aug. 27 at McCarthy Stadium. The battle between the Philadelphia schools is set for 7 p.m. The Explorers are coming off of a 1-0 win over Manhattan.
LAST TIME OUT:
- La Salle took a hard fought battle against the Jaspers to advance its record to 3-0-0 on the season. In the game, redshirt-junior Marcela Robinson converted a header for the lone goal of game. The goal came off of a corner kick by sophomore Jenna Soriano, marking her second on the young season.
- For the third straight game, sophomore keeper Claudia Jenkins registered a shutout, making one save.
SCOUTING DREXEL:
- The Dragons boast a 0-1-2Â record on the season, straight off of a 1-1 tie against Columbia.
- As a team, Drexel has scored just three goals on the season, led by Shaelyn McCarty with two.
- In net, Libby Baeza has allowed only four goals, while saving 77.8% of shots faced.
