Women’s Soccer Looks to Rebound on the Road at Colgate

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University women's soccer team (3-1-0) will travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on the Colgate Raiders (1-1-1) Thursday, August 30 at 7 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT:
  • The Explorers fell in a double overtime thriller to city foe, Drexel.
  • Two minutes and five seconds into the second OT period, Shaelyn McCarty of the Dragons took a shot from the left side of the field that just made its way past the outstretched hands of La Salle sophomore keeper Claudia Jenkins.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS:
  • Colgate sits at 1-1-1 on the year, most recently taking down Albany, 2-0. The Raiders fell to #8 Virginia and tied with UMass Lowell.
  • As a team, Colgate has scored three goals on the year, one from three different players.
  • In net, Kelly Chiavaro has been a staple for the Raiders. On the year she's made 18 saves for a .900 save percentage, while allowing just two goals. She's currently on a two-game shutout streak.
