ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The La Salle University men's water polo team dropped a pair of decisions on day one of the Navy Open Saturday. The Explorers held a 10-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter but could not hang on in an overtime loss to Lindenwood, before falling to Iona, 12-4, in the nightcap.

Daniel Domotor had four goals in the opening contest against Lindenwood, scoring three times in the first half as La Salle took a three-goal cushion into the final period. But the Lions responded with five straight tallies, including a pair in overtime, to get by the Explorers.
In the second match of the day, a pair of goals by Domotor in the first quarter had La Salle tied with the fifth-ranked team in the Northeast region according to the Collegiate Water Polo Association. The Gaels found their groove offensively, going on an 11-0 run that spanned nearly three quarters en route to victory.
La Salle concludes play at the Navy Open on Sunday, Sept. 2 with a pair of matches against George Washington (9:00 a.m.) and Johns Hopkins (3:15 p.m.).
