Women’s Soccer Returns Home with Game Against FDU

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University women's soccer team (4-1-1) returns to McCarthy Stadium on Thursday for a 7 p.m. matchup against Fairleigh Dickinson (2-5-1).

LAST TIME OUT:
  • Sophomore Jenna Soriano scored during the 14th minute on a penalty kick to give the Explorers the early advantage.
  • Rutgers had a chance to tie the game right before the half, however sophomore keeper Claudia Jenkins made a save on the penalty kick attempt.
  • The Scarlet Knights knotted things up early in the second half, scoring the tying goal during the 57th minute.
  • Rutgers added a second goal at the start of the 74th minute to take a 2-1 lead.
  • Sophomore Amirah Louketis responded with a 25-yard boot that found the back of the net to tie the game at two.
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS:
  • The Knights come into Thursday's matchup with a 2-5-1 record on the year with wins against Marshall and Kent State.
  • Leading the charge for FDU is sophomore Viktorija Miseljic, On the year, Miseljic sits atop the team in goals (2) and points (5). Five other Knights have also registered a point this season.
  • In net, junior Amanda Fitzgerald has started all eight games for the Knights. She currently has 37 saves on 90 shots faced, allowing 10 goals. Her goals against average is 1.21, with a save percentage of .787.
