LEWISBURG, Pa. - The La Salle University men's water polo team earned its second win of the year, picking up an 11-8 victory over Mercyhurst on the final day of the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday. In the second game of the day, the Explorers fell to Wagner, 18-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- La Salle jumped on the Lakers early, going up 4-1 in the first and 8-2 in the second quarter.
- In the second half, the Explorers extended possessions throughout the period en route to victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Sophomore Ash Lyne scored four goals and added two steals, but the top performer was classmate Cole Strohson who scored twice, got a steal, a block and drew a team-high six exclusions.
- Another sophomore, Cameron Schiable, had an impressive outing in goal with 10 saves, two steals and blocked another 5-meter penalty shot.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the second game of the day, the Explorers kept momentum going and led Wagner -- who is receiving votes in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 25 poll -- by a 3-2 margin at the end of the first quarter.
- But the Seahwaks took control with an impressive 13-1 run that spanned the second and third quarters to take control.
