ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The La Salle University field hockey team (4-5, 0-2 A-10) is on the road again after playing two home games at DeVincent Field last weekend. The Explorers will first face Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis (2-7, 0-4 A-10) on Friday, Sep. 28 at 4:00 p.m. and will then head to New York for a matchup against LIU Brooklyn on Sunday, Sep. 30 at 3:30 p.m. (2-8). The event against the Blackbirds will air live on NEC Front Row.
ABOUT LA SALLE
- Senior Logan Oh leads the team offensively with 4 goals, 4 assists, and 15 shots on goal thus far.
- In a thrilling overtime victory against Vermont last week, junior Chloe Lucky scored the game-winning goal with less than one second remaining in play, marking her first of the season.
- Junior goalkeeper Emma Provost maintains her second place ranking in save percentage (.722) in the Atlantic 10 conference.
- La Salle currently holds an 0-2 record in conference play after suffering losses to No. 2 Saint Francis and UMass.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
- The Billikens' record slipped to 0-4 in league play last weekend after a 2-1 loss to Davidson.
- Goalkeeper Sasha Sander is the only Saint Louis player ranked in the top 5 of any category in the Atlantic 10 conference. She currently holds fifth place in goals-against average (2.22).
- Saint Louis has 91 shots and 10 goals on the season.
SCOUTING LIU BROOKLYN
- Freshman midfielder Eva van Wakeren was named MAAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
- Van Wakeren leads LIU in goals (6), shots (31), and shots on goal (19)
- The Blackbirds beat Lehigh 6-2 at home last week, registering their second win on the year.
