PHILADELPHIA -- The La Salle University volleyball team will host and compete in the La Salle Invitational this weekend, welcoming NJIT, Rider, and Kent State to Tom Gola Arena.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle defeated DePaul 3-1 on the final day of the Central Michigan Chippewa Invitational last week after suffering losses to the host team and to Valparaiso.
- Junior setter Kathryn Wood moved into fourth place on the La Salle career assists list and was elevated into first place in the Atlantic 10 conference in assists per set with her All-Tournament Team performance at the Chippewa Invitational.
- Senior libero Jensen Sharrits currently leads the Atlantic 10 in digs per set in addition to overall digs, with a total of 132 thus far. The Explorers rank at the top of the conference in overall digs as well, with 429 to date this season.
- Additionally, junior Devin Corah stands in fourth place in the league in both kills (80) and kills per set (3.81).
SCOUTING NJIT
- The Highlanders suffered a 3-0 loss to Lehigh at their home opener last week.
- Senior Jovana Baosic led the Highlanders in their matchup against Lehigh with 10 kills and a .250 hitting percentage.
- Libero Adriana Nieto has recorded double-digit digs in every match this season, including a season-best 43 digs against Saint Peter's in the Bucknell Tournament.
SCOUTING RIDER
- Broncs head coach Chris Feliciano registered his 100th victory at the helm of Rider volleyball in its 3-2 win over Saint Francis Brooklyn on Tuesday.
- Freshman Anilee Sher was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.
- Three Bronc players, including Anilee Sher, Rachelle Runyon, and Savannah Logan, reached individual season highs in digs this week in the team's matchup against St. Francis Brooklyn.
SCOUTING KENT STATE
- The Golden Flashes fell to Robert Morris in their first five-setter of the season on Tuesday evening.
- Kent State tallied 50 kills in the matchup against Robert Morris. Freshman, Kathryn Ellison, recorded 14 of the 50 in addition to 15 digs for her third double-double of the season.
- Freshman Danie Tyson currently leads the Mid American Conference in hitting percentage.
