PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's soccer team suffered its first defeat of the season Wednesday night, dropping a 2-0 home decision to St. Francis Brooklyn at McCarthy Stadium. La Salle, ranked 14th in the TopDrawerSoccer rankings and receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll, falls to 2-1-0 on the season with the setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • St. Francis Brooklyn scored its first goal on a penalty kick by Marco Torriani in the 10th minute.
  • The Terriers then made it a 2-0 lead in the 35th minute when Matteo Caribotti scored on a header.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
